The holidays always seem to fly by in a blur of family time, good food, and moments worth slowing down for. I’ve been enjoying that pause—stepping away from the sewing machine and soaking in time with family and friends.

Now that things are settling back into a rhythm, I’m really looking forward to spending time in my combo work and craft room again. I recently reorganized my shelves, and there’s something incredibly inspiring about a full bookcase lined with fabric—every shelf packed with color, texture, and possibility. It feels like a quiet reminder that there are so many ideas waiting their turn.

Half of this room is dedicated to my day job, with my desk sitting right next to that bookcase. Some days, between meetings or emails, my eyes wander to a particular fabric. And just like that, I’m daydreaming—imagining what it could become, how it might come together, and what my next project could be.

Of course, at least one upcoming project is already spoken for. I promised a friend I’d make a bag for her mother-in-law, and I’m excited to start bringing that idea to life. Creating something with a specific person in mind always makes the process feel a little more special.

I’m easing back into creating, feeling inspired, and grateful to be surrounded by so much color and possibility. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
