Spring has definitely arrived with a little colorful chaos — in the shop, on my calendar, and pretty much everywhere in between. Between shows, sewing, and getting ready for the warmer months ahead, I wanted to pop in and share what I’ve been working on lately.
The Easter craft show felt like such a nice way to step into the season, and now I’m already looking ahead to the Mother’s Day events coming up next. This time of year always brings a different kind of energy — people are out more, the days feel a little brighter, and everything starts to feel like it’s waking up again after winter.
I always enjoy this stretch of the year because it feels like a fresh start in so many ways. It’s been nice getting back out to shows, seeing what catches people’s eye, and settling back into that spring rhythm of making, planning, and looking ahead to what’s next.
Right now in the shop, I’ve been spending time working on the Flow Water Bottle Bag, which feels especially fitting this time of year. With warmer days ahead, I start thinking about all the places summer takes us — craft shows, parks, beach days, and all those little outings where it’s nice to keep things simple and easy to carry.
It’s been fun focusing on something that feels so useful for the season, while still bringing in the color and personality I always love. Pieces like this are some of my favorite to work on because they feel practical for everyday life, but still a little special too.
Outside of the shop, life has been feeling full too. The girls are counting down the days until spring break, the puppies have been loving the extra time outside, and I’ve been casually on the hunt for a hammock to make one of my daughter’s springtime wishes come true.
Work is also in its peak busy season right now, so life feels a little extra full all around. Even with all of that, I really treasure the chances I get to sew and be creative. Those little pockets of making time have felt especially good lately.
Spring is shaping up to be full of color, connection, and new work I can’t wait to share.
If you missed me at the Easter craft show, I’d love to see you at my Mother’s Day event. And if you’re following along online, I’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes peeks at what’s on the sewing table and what’s coming next.
Thanks for being here and for supporting handmade.
Live in Color. Be You!
