I spent a long time with this fabric before I ever cut into it, because I knew it deserved to be shown off properly. The design that came out of it is one of the most intricate things I have ever made, and I am genuinely proud of it.

Repeating star-shaped blocks rotate and mirror each other to create a true kaleidoscope effect across the quilt top. Deep purples and rich golden tones anchor each block, with black framing that makes every element crisp and intentional. Small floral accents tucked inside the blocks add a softness that keeps the geometric pattern from feeling cold. The outer border is where I let myself go a little wilder: colorful blossoms on a bright turquoise background that gives the whole piece a joyful, garden-in-full-bloom feeling.

A quilt like this takes focus. The matching and the pressing and the squaring up have to be right, or the pattern falls apart. I worked through this one carefully, checking every intersection and every seam, because the geometry only works when the craftsmanship holds it together. This is not a decorative object that sits in a drawer. It is made to be used, to be seen, and to be the thing people ask about when they visit your home.

  • Size: 64" x 76"
  • 100% cotton batting
  • Kaleidoscope star-block design in deep purple, gold, and black with floral accents
  • Outer border: colorful blossoms on bright turquoise background
  • One of a kind — only one was made
  • Handmade by Anthea in New England

A quilt this bold does not belong in a catalog. It belongs on your bed. Live in Color. Be You!
